At around 6:30 p.m. on June 14, four tourists were swimming at Thien Cam beach (Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province) when they were swept away by strong waves and could not reach shore. They showed signs of exhaustion.

As soon as the discovery was made, the rescue team of the Thien Cam Tourist Area Management Board on duty along the beach, along with a number of households doing business on the Thien Cam sea embankment, quickly approached and successfully rescued 4 tourists, bringing them safely to shore.

Previously, at around 4:45 p.m. on June 14, the police of Loc Ha town, Thach Ha district (Ha Tinh) and local people also promptly and successfully rescued a teenager who was struggling and about to drown while swimming at Xuan Hai beach, Thach Ha district.

In the past few days, due to the influence of storm No. 1, the sea in Ha Tinh has been rough and the waves are strong. Especially in the Thien Cam sea area, the waves are big. Although the Thien Cam Tourist Area Management Board and the local government have repeatedly issued warnings and reminded about the risks of unsafety, many tourists and residents still go swimming in the sea.
