Residents of Cao Son commune bring their children to the health station for vaccination.

Accordingly, after the merger, the entire province has 216 health stations, of which 168 are under the direct management of the Department of Health and 48 health stations (including 103 sub-stations) are under the management of the commune People's Committees.

The expanded immunization program is ensured, with health stations and sub-stations strengthening the management of immunization recipients, organizing catch-up and supplementary immunizations for children who have not been vaccinated or have not received all the required doses of vaccines under the Expanded Immunization Program; and fully updating children's immunization information on the national immunization information system.

Vaccination is an important measure to prevent infectious diseases and protect children's health.

Safety during vaccination is a top priority. After vaccination, children's health is closely monitored at the vaccination site for 30 minutes; healthcare workers instruct families to closely and regularly monitor their children's health at home for at least 24 hours after vaccination.

During the summer, hot and humid weather with frequent rain creates favorable conditions for the emergence and spread of diseases, especially those transmitted through the digestive and respiratory systems, and mosquito-borne diseases. Besides the efforts of the health sector in implementing preventive measures, to ensure the health of young children, people need to proactively take preventive measures, especially ensuring children receive all vaccinations on schedule; maintaining a clean living environment and personal hygiene; and limiting travel to areas with outbreaks of disease.

The Expanded Immunization Program includes 12 types of vaccines: neonatal hepatitis B, tuberculosis, DPT-VGB-Hib, oral polio vaccine, injectable polio vaccine, measles, measles-rubella, Japanese encephalitis, tetanus, diphtheria-pertussis-tetanus, reduced-dose tetanus-diphtheria, and rotavirus vaccine.
