Asia Arts Festival 2024 takes place in Singapore for 6 days, from July 15 to 21. This is a competition of musical talents from 22 countries across Asia with more than 1,000 contestants participating. Vietnam has 3 representatives participating: Dang Ngoc Anh, Nguyen Thi Kieu Oanh and Hoang Khanh Linh. Among them, contestant Dang Ngoc Anh excellently won the Gold Cup of the competition.
Dang Ngoc Anh was born in 2004 in Chuong My, Hanoi . This 20-year-old girl is a second-year university student in the Vocal Music Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, a student of Meritorious Artist Ha Pham Thang Long. Her vocal teachers consider her to have a bright, beautiful soprano voice.
Participating in the Asia Arts Festival 2024, she chose the work Aria Tosca: “Vissi d'arte, vissi d'amore” to compete. With her soaring voice and perfect technique, she performed Giacomo Puccini's masterpiece excellently, conquering the jury and winning the Gold Prize of the competition.
Sharing right after winning the Gold Prize, Dang Ngoc Anh said that to prepare for this music competition, she had diligently practiced with teacher Ha Pham Thang Long for more than 2 months.
Participating in Asia Arts Festival 2024 is not only an opportunity for her to practice and hone her vocal skills, but also an opportunity for her to interact with many friends across the continent - friends who are very friendly, sociable and have good expertise.
For Dang Ngoc Anh, the award is an important milestone for her to continue to strive and learn more in her career. This is also a gift the 20-year-old girl gives to her teachers and especially her mother.
Dang Ngoc Anh is studying classical chamber music and she always strives every day to discover the best works, research and be passionate about each melody. Talking about her future plans, the second-year vocal music student said that in the near future, she will focus on studying and practicing well, constantly cultivating new knowledge and skills so that she will have more opportunities to participate in larger music arenas.
