High blood pressure and diabetes are spreading among young people in Nhon Hoi

High blood pressure and diabetes appear right at the age of 20-40, many cases fall into the "3 no" situation: not knowing they have the disease, no medication and no monitoring. The habit of eating salty foods - fish sauce, dried fish present in most meals is identified as an important cause. Therefore, it is not uncommon for young people to have blood pressure of 190/110 mmHg. More dangerously, there are patients who have had a stroke but still live with blood pressure of nearly 200 mmHg, or diabetes that has reached the stage of needing insulin injections but still trying to maintain oral medication.

Not stopping there, malnutrition, a hard life with hard work and limited economic conditions also lead to many consequences: joint disease, osteoporosis, gastric reflux... Children are burdened with malnutrition, anemia, tooth decay, and have never been dewormed. Thanks to ultrasound and paraclinical tests, many latent diseases such as fatty liver, gallstones, uterine fibroids or prostate fibroids... are more clearly detected.

A typical example is M. Thu (10 years old, living in Quoc Phu), who often urinates continuously at home but is completely normal at school or when going to the doctor.
