Attending the program were Mr. Vi Tu Lieu - Director of the Department of People's Organizations - Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association; and Mr. Nguyen Van Phong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee. The program reviewed the 94-year tradition of building, contributing, and maturing of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. Hanoi city leaders presented flowers to congratulate the Hanoi Youth Union on the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
At the program, Ms. Chu Hong Minh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Youth Union, Member of the Hanoi City Party Committee, and Secretary of the Hanoi City Youth Union - stated that with the continuous efforts of 106 affiliated Youth Union branches and over 600,000 members, significant and comprehensive achievements have been made in all aspects of work. “Our country is entering a new era – an era of affirming the position and value of Vietnamese people on the international stage. We are determined to unite and work together under the leadership of the Party, unleashing the energy of youth, blending our youthful aspirations with the common aspirations of the entire nation, to bring about comprehensive, strong, breakthrough, and take-off development for the capital and the country, contributing to preparing the foundation and strength for our country to develop into a prosperous and powerful nation in the new era – the era of national progress,” Ms. Chu Hong Minh expressed.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister awarded a Certificate of Commendation to Chu Hong Minh, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, for his outstanding achievements in implementing the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, 2019-2023. Authorized by the Prime Minister, Vi Tu Lieu, Director of the Department of People's Organizations, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Commendation to Chu Hong Minh, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union.
At the program, the Hanoi Youth Union honored 10 outstanding young people of Hanoi in 2024. These are individuals who have excelled in the fields of: Academics and scientific research; Creative labor and economic development; National defense and security; Sports; Culture and arts; and Social activities.
The 10 outstanding young people of Hanoi in 2024 include: Dr. Pham Huy Hieu; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Mai; businesswoman Le Thi Hong; Vu Thi Phuong Thanh (actress Bao Thanh); Major Nguyen Van Tuan; Major Trinh Minh Tung; volunteer Le Van Phuc; Doctor Le Quang Minh; chess player Le Tuan Minh; and football player Do Duy Manh.
Individuals awarded the title of Outstanding Young Face of Hanoi in 2024 will receive a Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee and a commemorative plaque.
