The 2024 high school graduation exam will take place on June 27 and 28. This year, more than 1 million candidates will take part in 63 provinces and cities across the country.

Candidates take turns taking Literature, Math, combined tests (Natural Sciences: Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Social Sciences: History, Geography, Civic Education) and Foreign Language.

For morning exams, the exam paper is distributed at 7:30 a.m. In the afternoon, the exam paper is distributed at 2:20 p.m., and the exam time is calculated at 2:30 p.m.

2024 is the last year that candidates will take the exam according to the old general education program (2006 program). From next year, the number of high school graduation exam subjects will be reduced to 4, including two compulsory subjects and two optional subjects. The structure and content of the exam will also be changed to match the new program (2018).
