On January 31, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation led by comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organization Committee visited and congratulated Giac Ngo Newspaper on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024.
Here, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc sent his congratulations to Venerable Thich Tam Hai, Editor-in-Chief of Giac Ngo Newspaper, the Editorial Board and all officers and staff of Giac Ngo Newspaper on the occasion of the approaching traditional New Year of the nation.
In a friendly atmosphere, the Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee informed about the city's situation; at the same time, he evaluated the contributions of Giac Ngo Newspaper over the past years in its role as the mouthpiece of Ho Chi Minh City Buddhism in particular, and the voice of Vietnamese Buddhism in general.
According to comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Giac Ngo Newspaper has conveyed accurate, objective, and quick information about Buddhist activities in the city and across the country, contributing to guiding Buddhists and followers to live a good life and follow their religion.
The Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee assessed that Giac Ngo Newspaper has made great contributions to building the sympathy of the masses, including those who do not follow any religion, making a practical contribution to building the great national unity bloc. Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc also expressed his interest in the personnel issues and digital transformation of Giac Ngo Newspaper in the coming time.
In response, Venerable Thich Tam Hai expressed his thanks to comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc and the delegation for visiting, wishing a happy new year and giving good feelings to Giac Ngo Newspaper.
Sharing about the orientation of activities in the coming time, Venerable Thich Tam Hai said that Giac Ngo Newspaper has been trying to do better in its role with positive changes in many aspects, especially in the issue of digital transformation. At the same time, the Newspaper continues to raise its voice against negative issues and phenomena, building a pure and harmonious Buddhist community.
Venerable Thich Tam Hai also expressed his hope that the city's leaders would continue to pay attention and support Giac Ngo Newspaper in many aspects so that the Newspaper could continue to develop and make appropriate changes.
