The Nhat Thanh Food concentrated slaughterhouse project in Phuoc Dan town (Ninh Phuoc) officially came into operation in 2020, with a total area of ​​over 5,300 m2, a modern machinery system with a slaughtering capacity of 200 animals/hour, and products strictly controlled by the authorities to ensure food hygiene and safety. In order to ensure the standards and conditions for exporting to the Middle Eastern and Islamic markets, Nhat Thanh Food Company Limited proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider expanding the area by an additional 5,196 m2 to build a slaughter line according to Halal standards.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the consensus of departments, branches and localities on the proposal to expand the production area of ​​Nhat Thanh Food Company Limited. He emphasized that goats and sheep are one of the province's typical products, and it is necessary to build a brand not only domestically but also for export to Middle Eastern countries. Expanding the slaughter line according to Halal standards is necessary to ensure the goals set by the province on centralized livestock slaughtering and ensuring food safety and hygiene. He requested the Department of Transport to review and update traffic routes so that they are suitable and do not affect the project; the Department of Natural Resources and Environment coordinates with localities to update the land use conversion plan in accordance with the company's proposed policy of expanding the production line. Ninh Phuoc District coordinates with the Department of Construction to promptly update and review construction plans to suit the project expansion; Direct Phuoc Dan town to urgently carry out procedures to adjust the town's reserve land, creating conditions for the company to lease land to expand the project. Relevant departments and branches continue to review, consider, guide legal procedures, and support the company to complete the project to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
