According to the Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, from June to November 2025, the East Sea region is likely to experience 5-8 typhoons and tropical depressions, of which 3-6 may directly affect the Vietnamese mainland. Dong Nai is located in a high-risk area for heavy rain, flash floods, landslides, and urban flooding, especially during the late rainy season.
In light of this situation, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Agriculture and Environment to play a core role, coordinating with other departments and localities to closely monitor weather developments, update and implement disaster prevention and search and rescue plans. A review of the safety of reservoirs, dams, dikes, drainage systems, and flood release procedures was required to be strictly implemented.

In addition to focusing on disaster response, Dong Nai also emphasizes the role of technology in monitoring, early warning, and post-disaster environmental remediation, such as waste, animal carcasses, and water pollution.
The Provincial Military Command will establish a Civil Defense Command before September 10th, and simultaneously develop a plan to mobilize forces and equipment ready for rescue operations in case of emergencies.
Departments and sectors ranging from health and industry to construction have been assigned specific tasks, from ensuring health safety and the power grid to addressing the root causes of flooding with sustainable solutions such as expanding retention ponds and developing smart cities.
At the local level, the People's Committees of communes and wards play the role of the "front line," on duty 24/7 during the rainy and stormy season, ready to guide evacuations, warn of dangerous areas, and transparently compile damage statistics.
Provincial leaders emphasized that there must be absolutely no complacency, and actions must be taken in accordance with the "four on-the-spot" principle (on-the-spot command, on-the-spot forces, on-the-spot equipment, and on-the-spot logistics) to minimize damage in the context of increasingly complex climate change.
