Specifically, Dong Nai proposed to support the central budget with more than 27 trillion VND to implement the investment project of Cat Lai ferry replacement bridge (Cat Lai bridge) and the project of the road from Ma Da bridge to Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, for the Project of the Road from Ma Da Bridge to Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City, the province has sent a document requesting support of 11.3 trillion VND from the central budget to implement the construction of the section from Ma Da Bridge to Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City, about 45km long.
However, to ensure convenient traffic connection in Dong Nai province after the merger, it is necessary to invest in building a connecting route from Dong Xoai to Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City via Provincial Road 753 (the route connecting Ma Da Bridge to Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City) with a length of about 61.7km. The project has a total investment of more than 23.8 trillion VND. Therefore, Dong Nai proposed that the central budget support the construction and equipment costs of the project of about 17.7 trillion VND.

Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has also sent a document requesting the Central Government to support capital of more than 9,300 billion VND to implement the Cat Lai Bridge Construction Project.
According to preliminary calculations, the Cat Lai Bridge Project has a total investment of more than 19 trillion VND, and will be implemented under the form of public-private partnership (PPP). This is an inter-regional transport infrastructure project connecting Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City. The Cat Lai Bridge has a cross-section of 6 motor vehicle lanes and 2 mixed vehicle lanes.
For this project, Dong Nai province proposed to divide the project into 4 component projects. In which, component projects 1 and 2, land clearance on the Ho Chi Minh City side and Dong Nai province side, will be implemented by 2 localities using budget capital from each locality.
With Component Project 3, the construction of Cat Lai bridge is implemented under the BOT form with the participation of Dong Nai province's budget capital.
With Component Project 4, investment in the construction of the connecting road after Cat Lai bridge toll station to the end of the route will be implemented by Dong Nai province using provincial budget capital or investment in the form of BT to exploit land fund.
