Dong Nai visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Portugal

Also participating in the provincial working delegation were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee Dao Van Phuoc; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung and leaders of departments, the Provincial Party Committee Office, and the Provincial People's Committee Office.

On the first day, the delegation worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Portugal and the Portugal - Vietnam Friendship Association. Receiving and working with the Dong Nai delegation were Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang, Ambassador of Vietnam in Portugal; Mr. José Pedro de Sousa Vieira, President of the Portuguese Cultural Association, President of the Portugal - Vietnam Friendship Association.

Exchanging information with the Vietnamese Embassy in Portugal, the provincial delegation briefly reviewed the province's socio -economic situation; introduced its potentials, advantages, infrastructure development planning as well as policies to attract investment into Dong Nai from countries and territories around the world.

Regarding international cooperation, since 1995, Dong Nai province has focused on expanding international cooperation with foreign partners, localities and territories around the world .

After 30 years of implementation, Dong Nai province has signed 41 memorandums of understanding and international cooperation agreements (MOUs) at the provincial level for the first time with 12 countries around the world and carried out 14 re-signings.

The signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the city of Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal during this working trip will open up opportunities for Dong Nai province to strengthen cooperation in the locality's strengths with partners and localities of Portugal in particular and the European region in general.

Through the working session, the provincial delegation hopes to continue receiving support from the Embassy and the Portugal - Vietnam Friendship Association to connect and promote cooperation between Dong Nai and localities and partners of Portugal in areas such as: trade, logistics, tourism, health, education, culture and people-to-people diplomacy...
