Brocade Project organizes activities to promote Tay ethnic culture in Cao Bang

On April 27, at Thanh Xuan Park ( Hanoi ), the Brocade Project of the club of high school students in Hanoi capital organized the exhibition event "Highlands", to introduce the culture and identity of the Tay ethnic group in Cao Bang .

The event displayed and introduced handicrafts made from brocade fabrics of the Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Geopark, such as wallets, bags, keychains, etc.; traditional costumes and handicrafts associated with the life and rituals of the Tay people (indigo shirts, Tinh lutes, conical hats).

People can experience local OCOP-standard specialty products, including Na Giang sli, Bo To palm sugar, ban paper, smoked sausage, black jelly, Khao cake, bamboo rice, canarium sticky rice, five-color sticky rice made from Ong Trung Khanh sticky rice...; provide tourist map brochures, introduce scenic spots, and routes of Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Geopark.

Children participate in a painting activity about Tay ethnic culture at the event.

Brocade Project is a charity project with a series of events promoting and introducing the people and culture of the Tay ethnic group in Cao Bang province. The project aims to connect the community, especially the young generation, to create opportunities for each individual to learn and access the traditional activities of the highland people, at the same time, bringing the image of ethnic minorities closer to international friends and tourists.
