The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival is expected to attract 2 million visitors to Lam Dong province.

On the morning of November 5th, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, held a press conference to announce the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 and to promote and attract investment in the tourism and service sectors.

The press conference was chaired by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province Pham S; Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province Nguyen Trung Kien; and Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Lat city Dang Quang Tu.

The event was attended by representatives from the Departments and Bureaus under the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Ministry of Information and Communications; departments and agencies of Hanoi city; central and ministerial press agencies in Hanoi; and leaders of corporations, businesses, and companies operating in the tourism and service sector.

With the theme "Da Lat Flowers - A Symphony of Colors," the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival will take place from December 5th to December 31st, 2024. This year, the Flower Festival's programs and events have expanded both in terms of geographical scope and diverse fields, with over 50 activities related to flowers, culture and arts, seminars, traditional crafts, etc., based on the local strengths to develop tourism .

Accordingly, the opening ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 and the art program will take place at 8 PM on December 5th at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province. Also at this location, the art program celebrating the New Year 2025, combined with the closing ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024, will take place at 8 PM on December 31st.

According to Pham S, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, the total estimated cost for organizing the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024 is approximately 60 billion VND, using socialized capital, with most events free for locals and tourists to visit and experience.

Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong highly appreciated the efforts of Da Lat city, Lam Dong province, in beautifying its urban landscape with green, clean, and beautiful facilities. He stated that these projects will continue to be used and their value enhanced after the Festival. The Deputy Minister considered this a cost-effective approach that yields socio-economic benefits and creates more attractive green tourism products.

Also on this occasion, many localities in Lam Dong province simultaneously organized activities such as: the "Dalat Fun Color" music festival; the 7th Lam Dong Province Ethnic Minority Culture and Sports Festival - Bao Lam 2024; the Lam Dong Province Ethnic Culture Performance and Exhibition Festival ; the Lam Dong Trail 2024 race; the Lang Biang Pink Grass Festival; the "Di Linh - Identity and Integration" program; the "Basalt Melodies" band festival; the "Dalat - A Kaleidoscope of Flowers" tour and experience...
