Meeting with businesses on Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day October 13

This afternoon, October 11th, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province held a meeting with businesses to celebrate Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day on October 13th.

The attendees included the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vo Van Hung; the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Le Thi Lan Huong; the Chairperson of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Ho Thi Thu Hang; the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Hoang Nam; and 300 outstanding businesses representing 3,500 businesses operating in the province.

In 2024, along with the development of the whole country, the province's socio -economic situation and national defense and security achieved many positive results in various fields.

The province's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increased by 5.82% in the first nine months compared to the same period in 2023; total budget revenue in the province reached over 3,260 billion VND by September 30th; 75 out of 101 communes met the new rural standards, and 3 out of 7 districts met the new rural standards...

The achievements mentioned above are largely due to the significant contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs in the province, who have consistently strived for innovation, creativity, and dynamism, playing a leading and pioneering role in the economic field and international economic integration.

Businesses are not only production and trading entities, but also partners with the government in social and humanitarian activities; many businesses have proactively participated in charitable programs, showing gratitude and providing assistance to people in particularly disadvantaged areas or during natural disasters and epidemics.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the great contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs in the province in joining hands to build the homeland of Quang Tri increasingly prosperous.

With their courage, ambition for development, and drive to become wealthy, the business community and entrepreneurs are growing stronger in both quantity and quality; contributing to economic growth, creating jobs, and actively participating in many meaningful charitable and humanitarian programs.

It is suggested that in the coming period, the business community and entrepreneurs should take the lead in strengthening infrastructure investment; training human resources and attracting labor; and demonstrating solidarity, mutual assistance, and support within the community to overcome challenges and difficulties in order to achieve more significant results in many fields.

The Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and all levels and sectors pledge to the business community and entrepreneurs to always be receptive, open-minded, and make focused efforts to overcome difficulties, care for, create favorable conditions, and stand side by side with businesses and entrepreneurs. Continue to promote administrative procedure reform to reduce inconvenience for people and businesses.

Production and business results and business satisfaction must be used as measures of performance of departments, branches, sectors and local authorities.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 8 collectives and 17 individuals with many achievements contributing to the socio-economic development of Quang Tri province; the Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises awarded certificates of merit to 20 individuals of the Provincial Business Association with outstanding achievements in building and developing the Quang Tri Provincial Business Association.
