(NLDO) – The price of SJC gold bars and gold rings continues to rise as world prices soar. The price of gold bars is at its highest in over a month.
On the morning of January 17, SJC Company listed the buying price of SJC gold bars at 85.3 million VND/tael and the selling price at 87.3 million VND/tael, an increase of 300,000 VND per tael compared to yesterday.
PNJ sells at the same price as SJC, while DOJI sells at a lower price, around 86.8 million VND; Bao Tin Minh Chau sells at 87.25 million VND/tael. If customers buy SJC gold bars of 1, 2 and 5 chi, the selling price is up to 87.33 million VND/tael.
The price of SJC gold bars has a big difference between businesses. Some units such as Mi Hong Company suddenly adjusted the price of gold bars down to 86.6 million VND/tael, 100,000 VND/tael lower than yesterday.
SJC gold bar price increased to the highest level in more than 1 month
Sacombank, ACB , and Eximbank also have differences, with the selling price of SJC gold bars ranging from 87 million VND to 87.3 million VND/tael.
On the buying side, businesses simultaneously raised the buying price to a high level of 85.3 - 85.6 million VND/tael - 1.8 to 2 million VND/tael lower than the selling price.
Similarly, the price of gold rings and jewelry of all kinds also continued to increase. For example, SJC Company traded plain gold rings at VND85 million/tael for purchase and VND86.7 million/tael for sale, an increase of VND200,000/tael. The price of 99.99 gold rings increased slower than the increase in gold bars.
Domestic gold prices continued to increase as world prices jumped. In the international market, gold prices today were traded at 2,716 USD/ounce, up about 15 USD/ounce compared to the previous session.
In the past two days, precious metals on the international market increased by a total of more than 30 USD/ounce (equivalent to an increase of about 900,000 VND/tael).
Gold prices continued to rise amid a decline in the US dollar. The US dollar index in the international market continued to fall to 108.7 points, down from the 109 points in previous sessions.
US President Donald Trump is expected to officially return to the White House next week. Investors are worried that financial markets may experience instability related to Mr. Trump's economic policies, thereby increasing their refuge in gold.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 83.7 million VND/tael.
