Unexpected revelation about the $3 million prize

This year, VinFuture received more than 1,700 applications from over 70 countries and territories. This number is 2.8 times higher than season 1, demonstrating the increasingly strong reputation and influence of the award after half a decade of development.

The honored works are the crystallization of pioneering thinking, of persistent efforts to overcome challenges and of the aspiration to use science to serve life.

The winners of the million-dollar prize will be announced in a moment watched by the global scientific community.

Of which, the VinFuture Main Prize is worth 3 million USD and three Special Prizes for female scientists, scientists from developing countries, and scientists researching new fields, each worth 500,000 USD.

“When the names of this year’s award winners are announced, we will see that VinFuture has once again chosen the right recipient. In particular, this year’s Main Prize is a research project that has an impact on a very large population globally,” revealed Prof. Dang Van Chi, member of the VinFuture Award Council.

Mission to promote science to serve humanity

Founded in 2020 with the mission of promoting science to serve humanity, after only 5 years, VinFuture has become a prestigious destination for the world's scientific community, gathering many Nobel laureates and other prestigious awards. This is also an event that connects researchers to find answers to the most urgent questions of the time.

After 5 years of establishment, VinFuture has become a prestigious destination for the world's scientific community.

After the first 4 seasons, there were 4 groups of scientists who, after being honored on the VinFuture stage, continued to be named at the Nobel Prize.

This is considered a testament to the outstanding vision of the first international award founded by Vietnamese people, and at the same time, reflects the worthy recognition of research that has a profound impact on humanity.

In the 5th season, VinFuture's message "Rise together - Prosper together" affirms the belief that sustainable development of the planet can only be achieved when knowledge is shared, and science and technology become catalysts to help countries progress together.

“Vietnam is still building its capacity for research and development in science and technology. And I hope that the VinFuture Prize will be the driving force for young Vietnamese scientists and technologists to truly innovate and move the country forward,” Professor Chi emphasized.

Along with the scientific stars, the event promises to bring emotional moments of sublimation, where the quintessence of Vietnamese culture blends with top-notch artistic performances.

In particular, the appearance of world-famous singer Alicia Keys, who has won 17 prestigious Grammy Awards, will bring a brilliant and emotional highlight to the VinFuture Awards 2025.
