In addition to 17 teachers renewing their contracts, Tra Van Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities also signed contracts with 7 teachers to meet teaching needs for the 2025-2026 school year. These include 4 primary school teachers and 3 secondary school teachers.

Similarly, Tra Leng 1 Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Tra Leng, Da Nang) has 12 contract teachers. During the 2 summer months, these teachers still receive full salaries and are guaranteed social insurance benefits. With this "retention" method, Mr. Le Huy Phuong - Principal of the school said that the school has enough teachers for Music, Fine Arts and Information Technology, and does not have to arrange teachers who are not specialized to teach classes like in previous school years.

Meanwhile, Huong Phung High School (Huong Phung, Quang Tri ) is short of 2 teachers according to the standard number of classes. Information from Principal Nguyen Huu Thinh: "The school has a seconded Math teacher who volunteered to stay for another year. In the 2025-2026 school year, the school will enroll 1 more 10th grade class compared to last year.

Therefore, the structure of teachers for each subject is still sufficient, but there will be a shortage of teachers to take on subjects such as career guidance, local education , and experiential activities... The school has reported to the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri, proposing to add 2 more teachers, in time to arrange before the new school year begins.

Accelerate professional development

Chu Van An Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Tra Tap, Da Nang) has 6 teachers renewing their contracts and 3 new contract teachers.

In August, in addition to teacher training seminars organized by the Da Nang Department of Education and Training, Chu Van An Primary Boarding School assigned professional group leaders to provide additional guidance to new contract teachers. In addition, the school's Pedagogical Council focused its time on correcting information in textbooks, local educational materials... related to the merger of administrative boundaries and the two-level government model.

According to Principal Truong Cong Mot, all new contract teachers have a bachelor's degree in primary education. They have been introduced to the 2018 General Education Program throughout their training, and the school hopes that they will quickly catch up when teaching in practice.

At Tra Van Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, before signing a contract with a new teacher, the school also announced that within 3 months, the professional team and the board of directors would increase class observation and visits to monitor the quality of educational activities. If the requirements are not met, the unit will not renew the contract.

In preparation for the 2025-2026 school year, Tra Van Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities plans to change the model of assigning teachers to teach. “In the immediate future, we can choose a grade level to pilot. For example, for grade 4, the school will choose a teacher with strengths in teaching Vietnamese to assign to teach all 4 classes in the grade.

Thus, there are 2 teachers who will teach Math and Vietnamese intensively for the entire grade 4. The remaining subjects will be taught by other teachers. During the specialized teaching sessions, all teachers in the grade will teach Vietnamese and Math to improve their expertise," Mr. Diep informed.

For new contract teachers, Tra Leng 1 Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities has a policy of assigning them to teach at the commune school. According to Mr. Le Huy Phuong, with such a classroom arrangement, new teachers will receive timely support and sharing from experienced teachers in organizing teaching activities, developing lesson plans, and managing classrooms...

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu - Vice Chairman of Tra Tan Commune People's Committee (Da Nang), said that Bac Tra My District (formerly Quang Nam) has organized an exam to recruit civil servants in the Education sector, so basically, teachers are fully supplemented. Recently, the Commune People's Committee also instructed schools to reasonably arrange teachers to teach in the classroom, and assign teachers to concurrently hold positions such as homeroom teachers, group leaders, etc. to avoid local teacher shortages.
