Built since 2007 with a total investment of nearly 50 billion VND, the Cuoi Market Commercial Center and Supermarket project in Gia Loc town, Gia Loc district ( Hai Duong province) has yet to become operational in over a decade.

According to Mr. Long, since being assigned to manage the Cuoi Market Commercial Center and Supermarket, the Town People's Committee has repeatedly conducted surveys to gather opinions from traders, but the majority disagree with moving into the center to conduct business. "Recently, the town also sought the opinion of the Standing Committee of the Gia Loc District Party Committee. The view is that if the traders do not move in, we will submit a document requesting that businesses and individuals in need of space be allowed to rent the project area. At the same time, we will advise the District People's Committee to request the Provincial People's Committee to allow adjustments to the market's planning to suit the reality or to find other solutions to avoid wasting public assets," Mr. Long added.
