A solemn moment at Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery.

Starting from the Hien Luong - Ben Hai historical site, the parade of the Cycling for Peace Day proceeded to the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery (Gio Linh District, Quang Tri Province). There, the organizers of the Cycling for Peace Day, along with hundreds of athletes, performed a ceremony of offering incense to the heroic martyrs. In addition, representatives of the organizing committee also paid tribute to families of policy beneficiaries and those who contributed to the revolution, and presented gifts to underprivileged students who excelled academically.

The gifts distributed on this occasion included: 15 bicycles donated by the Quang Tri Provincial Sports Cycling Club; and 15 gift packages for policy beneficiary families in Quang Tri (worth 2 million VND each) donated by Thanh Nien Newspaper, Tran Cuisine, and the Quang Tri Provincial Sports Cycling Club.

Lao cyclist Vatthana Siphommalangkoun (49 years old, residing in Pakse City, Champasak Province) also visited the Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery. He cycled approximately 15 km from Hien Luong Bridge to the Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery, completing the first leg of the parade on the morning of June 29th.

Parade 42 km

The Cycling for Peace event took place over two days. On June 29th, at the Hien Luong - Ben Hai Riverbanks Historical Site (Vinh Linh District), all cyclists, delegates, and cycling enthusiasts, regardless of gender or age, participated in the parade. After the flag-raising ceremony at the Hien Luong border flagpole, the parade covered 42 km along the following route: starting from the Hien Luong - Ben Hai Riverbanks National Special Historical Site, crossing the Hien Luong Bridge to the Trung Son intersection (Gio Linh District), turning onto Provincial Road 76, and continuing to the Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery, before ending at Fidel Park (Dong Ha City).
