Also on this occasion, the National Achievements Exhibition with the theme "80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness journey" took place at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh) attracting about 1.2 million visitors in the first 3 days.
At key tourist destinations, the number of visitors increased dramatically, such as: Thang Long Imperial Citadel and Hanoi Zoo welcomed about 33,000 visitors; Hoa Lo Prison relic site welcomed nearly 26,500 visitors; Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam 18,000 visitors; Ba Vi National Park more than 3,100 visitors. Central museums opened free of charge from September 1 to 3, also attracting a large number of domestic and foreign visitors.

In particular, the fireworks display at 5 locations (Hoan Kiem Lake, Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, Van Quan Lake, Thong Nhat Park, My Dinh National Stadium) along with cultural and artistic activities throughout the city on the evening of September 2nd contributed to promoting the image of Hanoi - a safe, friendly and attractive destination.
