The project "Mobilizing support for building solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024)" was developed and implemented by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Accordingly, the project focuses on mobilizing resources to renovate 7,000-8,000 solidarity houses for poor and near-poor households in several Northwestern provinces, including 5,000 houses in Dien Bien province alone. The support level is 50 million VND per house; the total estimated funding for this support is approximately 350-400 billion VND.
On May 13, 2023, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a launching ceremony calling on agencies, businesses, philanthropists, and people from all walks of life, both domestically and internationally, to actively respond and contribute their efforts and resources to implement the project.
Ha Tinh province participated in the online launch ceremony to support the construction of solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province and other Northwestern provinces in May 2023.
In response to the initiative, the Steering Committee of the "For the Poor" Fund of Ha Tinh province issued Decision No. 18/QD-BVD dated October 2, 2023, on the allocation of the "For the Poor" Fund. Accordingly, over 2 billion VND was provided to support housing construction for poor households in Dien Bien province and other Northwestern provinces.
This amount was donated by the "For the Poor" Fund of 13 districts, towns, and cities, as well as organizations and individuals in the province. The Provincial "For the Poor" Fund Campaign Committee transferred the funds to the Central "For the Poor" Fund Campaign Committee's account, contributing to helping localities address the housing shortage for poor households and improving the effectiveness of poverty reduction efforts nationwide.
