On the evening of November 21, the Department of Culture and Information of Hai Ha district coordinated with Quang Duc commune to organize the opening ceremony of the 2024 Dao Thanh Y ethnic duet singing class and launch the Quang Duc commune folk arts club.
The Thanh Y Dao ethnic group's duet singing class has 60 students, including civil servants, village officials, teachers, students, and people in Quang Duc commune who want to learn and preserve the duet singing culture. During the 20 days, the students will be taught traditional duet singing content of the ethnic group by artists, prestigious people, and experienced people who understand the culture of the Thanh Y Dao ethnic group, such as the tunes of the bride's escort, the bride's welcome, the duet, and festival singing...
The class aims to foster and help students grasp information, knowledge, and skills about duet singing, learn, share, and exchange about duet melodies, and form duet singing clubs; maintain regular activities to contribute to preserving and promoting the cultural values of the Dao Thanh Y ethnic group, creating richness, diversity, and strong identity in the cultural life of ethnic groups in Hai Ha district; as well as effectively implement the project "Developing tourism associated with preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic groups in Hai Ha district in the period of 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030".
On this occasion, Quang Duc commune also announced and awarded the decision on the establishment of the folk art club of the Dao Thanh Y ethnic group in Quang Duc commune, consisting of 60 members.
