Accordingly, the Hai Phong City government is currently looking for investors for a 28-hectare social housing project in Trang Cat Ward, Hai An District. The project has a total investment of more than VND5,800 billion, with estimated costs for site clearance compensation and resettlement support of more than VND210 billion.
According to the plan, the social housing area in the project has 27 blocks, including 20 7-storey blocks and 7 9-storey blocks. The number of social housing units is expected to be more than 4,000 with a total floor area of about 110,000 m2, each apartment has an average area of about 27.5 m2.
In addition, the project also has a commercial housing area consisting of 284 townhouses and villas with a maximum height of 5 floors. Commercial service buildings (4-10 floors) with an area of over 2.3 hectares, school buildings (3-4 floors) with an area of about 1.7 hectares.
According to the Project to invest in building at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021-2030 according to Decision No. 338 of the Prime Minister , by 2025, Hai Phong City needs to add about 1.5 million m2 of social housing floor space (equivalent to 20,794 apartments), by 2030, this number will be about 2 million m2 of floor space (equivalent to 27,994 apartments).
Hai Phong City authorities representative informed that from 2010 to now, Hai Phong has 9 social housing projects with a total of 6,650 apartments completed and put into use. Currently, in the area, there are 11 social housing projects with a scale of 13,300 apartments under construction and 5 social housing projects with a scale of 14,400 apartments are carrying out investment procedures .
