From passion to proud achievement
With impressive scores: Math 9, Literature 8.75, Physics 9.5 and Chemistry 9.5 (total 36.75 points), Nguyen Ngoc Gia Bao is 1 of 2 candidates with the highest scores in the 2025 high school graduation exam.
Gia Bao shared that when he knew his exam scores , he was quite surprised with the results he achieved. He believes that with the strict requirements of an important exam and the competition from many good students, achieving high results is not easy. However, Gia Bao always has great determination and proactively prepares a solid foundation of knowledge to meet the requirements of the exam. Thanks to his diligence, hard work, combined with confidence and experience from previous exams, he finally reaped the results he deserved.
Sharing about the review process, Gia Bao said: “Thanks to the guidance of teachers, I proactively solved most of the problems in my studies. When I encountered difficult questions or unclear content, I always researched thoroughly to handle them thoroughly.”
Gia Bao's learning experience is perseverance, not being impatient, learning step by step until understanding the nature of the problem. However, in his opinion, that is not enough. Besides knowledge from books, teachers and friends, the spirit of learning must come from true passion, because doing something you do not like will never be effective.
“When I have questions or don’t understand something, I need to dig deeper and find out everything. Each time I do that, I will accumulate a lot of useful knowledge,” Gia Bao said about the exam preparation process. That is also one of the secrets that helped Gia Bao achieve high results in the recent high school graduation exam.
During his 3 years at Phan Ngoc Hien High School for the Gifted , Gia Bao always maintained the title of excellent student. In addition, he also achieved outstanding results in provincial competitions for excellent students: Second prize in Chemistry when he was in grade 10 and First prize in Chemistry when he was in grade 11.
Sharing about his future plans, Gia Bao said that he is currently hesitating between choosing between Chemical Engineering Technology and Chemistry Pedagogy. However, he thinks that no matter what major he chooses, he will contribute a small part of his efforts to build his homeland to become more and more prosperous.
Male student achieved a rare score of 10 among 4 candidates nationwide.
Despite having consulted the answers from the Ministry of Education and Training , Le Trong Nguyen was still surprised to learn that he had achieved a perfect score in Industrial Technology. “I am still in a daze,” Nguyen shared his joy at being the only candidate in the province to achieve 10 points in this subject in the 2025 high school graduation exam, and one of four candidates nationwide to achieve a perfect score. Industrial Technology is the first year exam subject under the 2018 General Education Program.
The conversation with the male student from class 12C3 started with sharing about the subject that he only spent a month studying. The first impression of Nguyen was his quickness and confidence in communication.
Trong Nguyen was an excellent student for 12 years and cherished the dream of becoming a People's Police officer. In particular, last June he was honored to join the Party.
Initially, Nguyen registered for the English exam but was quite hesitant because he was not confident with this subject. “By the end of May, when I looked up information, I learned that the exam subjects included Industrial Technology, which is also a subject in the admission group for the Police industry. At that time, I was both happy and worried: happy because I could take the exam in the field I wanted, but worried because the review time was too tight, afraid that I wouldn't have time to grasp the knowledge,” Trong Nguyen confided.
Sharing the secret to achieving a perfect score in this subject, Trong Nguyen said that in addition to his own efforts, the teacher's support plays an important role. The teacher always enthusiastically guides and creates conditions for him to experience reality, inspiring his passion for learning. "Everyone thinks this is a new subject, difficult because there is a lot of knowledge, but to study well, you must not only memorize but also think, know the system, have a firm grasp of the textbook and proactively seek out more materials," Nguyen shared.
Mr. Truong Hoang Tien, the teacher in charge of reviewing Industrial Technology, commented: “Trong Nguyen is obedient and hard-working. A perfect score of 10 is a worthy result for his efforts. In just one month, the teacher and student have searched for documents, studied, and had practical experiences together to master the knowledge. I am very proud of him!”
Not only does Nguyen study well in all subjects, he is also an active and cohesive class monitor. He is also a "movement tree" with many provincial Taekwondo awards, participates in propaganda to prevent the harmful effects of tobacco and drugs in schools, and does volunteer work...
Although I am good at natural sciences , my big goal is to become a student at the People's Police Academy. The image of brave and intelligent police officers solving crimes has urged me to pursue this dream. With a total score of more than 24 points for the K22 block (accounting for 40% of the admission), I am currently waiting for the results of the capacity assessment - the factor that determines 60% of the quota.
These proud achievements are the result of the persistent efforts of Nguyen Ngoc Gia Bao and Le Trong Nguyen, along with the support of their families and teachers at the school named after the teacher, the heroic revolutionary soldier Phan Ngoc Hien - a place where talents are nurtured. Wishing you all to soon turn your dreams into reality!
