One tank of gas, one charge – A memorable cross-country journey

The Super Hybrid Marathon journey is not only a journey to explore Vietnam, but also a practical demonstration of the superior performance of the Jaecoo J7 SHS - a hybrid SUV that uses an electric motor as the main power source, while the gasoline engine acts as a battery charger, helping the car to always be ready to move without depending on a charging station.

The journey lasted for three consecutive days with many typical routes of the Central region - where nature, history and terrain challenges converge. From the starting point at O&J Long Bien ( Hanoi ), the Jaecoo J7 PHEV (SHS) convoy conquered cool green routes such as Cuc Phuong forest, Noi Tranh lake, then stopped at O&J Vinh on the first day - where EV technology was tested in real-life conditions under pure electric operation. On the second day, the journey continued through Dong Loc Intersection, Quang Tri wind farm and Hue ancient capital, demonstrating the ability to operate stably and smoothly on long routes with flexible coordination between electric motors and gasoline engines. The highlight of the trip was the third day, when the convoy conquered Hai Van Pass, a route that requires high performance and outstanding control – where the J7 SHS continued to demonstrate the power of Super Hybrid technology in all real-life conditions, before reaching the finish line in the coastal city of Quy Nhon, ending an impressive 1,300km journey without having to worry about charging stations.

Super Hybrid System Technology – Green heart for future journey

At the heart of the challenging 1,300km journey is the Super Hybrid System (SHS) technology – an advanced technology platform developed by Omoda & Jaecoo, redefining the standard for hybrid vehicles globally. Instead of just supporting, the electric motor acts as the main operating source, providing a smooth driving experience like a pure electric vehicle. Meanwhile, the gasoline engine acts as a generator, continuously recharging the battery without depending on a charging station.

Thanks to that, the J7 PHEV (SHS) achieves a fuel consumption of only 0.52L/100km (certified by the Vietnam Register), with a total distance of up to 1,500km with just one tank of gas and one charge - an impressive number, opening up economical, durable and environmentally friendly travel options for Vietnamese users.

The Super Hybrid System is not just a hybrid powertrain, but a technology that combines performance, comfort and economy , allowing users to step into the future of smart transportation without worrying about charging infrastructure.

With the Super Hybrid Marathon Vietnam Journey - Conquering electric vehicles without charging with J7 PHEV (SHS), Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam clearly demonstrate the strategic direction "Coming to Vietnam - For Vietnam" - not only introducing modern technology, but also providing solutions suitable for the actual usage conditions, infrastructure and diverse travel needs of Vietnamese people.
