The solid rear of police officers

In the journey to protect the peace of society, each police officer carries on his shoulders a heavy and dangerous responsibility. However, the officers are always steadfast in their work because behind them is a solid rear - a place that gives them confidence and motivation to complete their tasks well. In that rear, there are relatives, families, especially wives and husbands who have always silently contributed day and night to building a solid "shield" for the People's Police force.

1. Standing quietly behind, Ms. Nguyen Cam Tu - a teacher at Nhut Ninh Primary School (Vam Co Commune, Tay Ninh Province), builds a small home so that her husband - Major Le Hoang Han, a police officer of Tam Vu Commune, can confidently carry out his assigned tasks. After 5 years of marriage, having their first daughter, now 4 years old, Ms. Tu is still a strong spiritual support, a peaceful place for Mr. Han to return to.

From the first days of knowing each other, she clearly understood the special nature of the police force - always having to put the task first, not having much time for family. However, it was his steadfastness, sense of responsibility and the image of a police officer devoted to his homeland that made her admire him more and accept to accompany him on the challenging and proud journey of marriage.

As a commune police officer, Mr. Han's job involves night shifts, holidays and weekends. During holidays, while everyone is with their families, he is still busy with the task of ensuring local security and order. At that time, there was only Ms. Tu and her young daughter at home. Many times, she felt sad when seeing other families reunited, but then she learned to put aside her sadness, choosing understanding and faith to give her husband more strength.

“There were nights when it was just the two of us at home, and I was very sad. But then I thought about it, and I felt even more love and pride for my husband. Each person has a position, a mission. And my husband chose for himself the ideal of "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people". Understanding my husband, I became stronger and stronger so that he could work with peace of mind and not have to worry about anything at home" - Ms. Tu confided.

Although they don’t have as much time together as other couples, Tu and her husband are still close and show their care for each other. Every day, during their breaks, they make video calls, chat, and ask each other questions, especially talking to their daughter so that she can understand her father’s work. Simple but sincere words of encouragement help Tu and her husband overcome challenges in family life and work.

“I often encourage my husband, I will take care of the house, please feel secure in your work and maintain your ideals. I am not only his wife but also his friend and companion on all fronts, even if it is just spiritually,” said Ms. Tu.

On days when Mr. Han is on leave or not on duty, the whole family cherishes every moment together. They cook together, take their children out, and chat to make up for the time they have spent apart. For Ms. Tu, sharing and bonding in every little thing is the thread that connects family members together, nurturing lasting happiness.

“I am proud to be the wife of a police officer. I trust and respect my husband and always accompany and share with him in every step and every decision. I hope my husband will feel secure in carrying out the tasks assigned by his superiors and that the family will always be the support and support for him to realize his wishes and ideals when entering the police force,” Ms. Tu added.

2. For Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Duong, more than a year of being the wife of a police officer is not only a journey of love and sharing but also of experience and growing up every day. As a strong spiritual support for her husband - Lieutenant Phan Van Khai, a police officer of Long Cang commune, Ms. Duong takes care of everything when he is not at home, helping him feel secure in his duty and fulfill his mission as a People's Police officer.

Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Duong is a strong spiritual support for her husband - Lieutenant Phan Van Khai to feel secure in his duty.

The chance that brought Ms. Duong and Mr. Khai to know each other started from a revolutionary song propaganda art movement - where they both participated in performances. After that, they discovered that they had many other interests in common such as singing, MCing, reading books, etc. And the topic of a book brought the young couple together, they quickly found harmony in their souls and understood each other more and more from their thoughts to their lifestyle. After a period of getting to know each other, Ms. Duong and Mr. Khai decided to get married with a warm, loving wedding in 2024. Currently, Ms. Duong and Mr. Khai are preparing to welcome their first child.

Ms. Duong confided: “My father used to be a Commune Captain, my brother also worked in the military, so I somewhat understand the special nature of my husband's job - always having to prioritize tasks, often being away from home at night, on holidays, and Tet. However, those things did not make me falter, but on the contrary, made me appreciate and love the man I chose to marry even more. I see in him maturity, steadiness and courage, so I trust and am even more proud of him.”

In the early days after marriage, Ms. Duong inevitably felt sad when her husband had unexpected tasks, had to cancel appointments or could not come home as promised. However, instead of being angry or blaming, she chose to calmly think and sympathize with her husband. "Being sad doesn't change anything, so I choose to accept it happily, so that my husband can focus on his work," Ms. Duong said.

That trust is built from understanding her husband day by day. Although she sometimes worries about her husband's safety when he goes on patrol at night or on duty outside, Ms. Duong always puts her faith in her husband's ability and sense of responsibility. To stay connected during the days apart, Ms. Duong and her husband always maintain the habit of video calling every day, sharing with each other even the smallest things in daily life.

As a young couple, they not only have similar interests but also find many ways to maintain their bond. One of their interesting activities is to play the role of MC and guest, asking each other questions collected from the Internet on various topics. These “role-playing conversations” not only bring laughter but also help them understand each other’s thoughts, opinions and personalities better. It is their frankness and willingness to share that has helped their relationship become stronger and stronger.

Not only does she play the role of a good wife, Ms. Duong is also a thoughtful daughter-in-law, connecting with her husband's family, creating a harmonious and cozy atmosphere. That helps her husband feel more secure when carrying out his duties.

Whenever the husband is on leave, the couple takes advantage of their private time together by having dinner, listening to music or taking short trips. These seemingly ordinary moments are the glue that binds the family together, making up for the days of separation due to duty.

“I learned a lot from my husband - from how to use social media to thinking more positively in life. Thanks to that, I feel like I am growing up every day,” Ms. Duong confided.

Although not directly involved in the work of maintaining peace in life, wives are a solid support, a solid rear - a place to nurture love, adding strength for soldiers to confidently step on the front line. That love, sympathy and silent companionship is the strength that gives police soldiers on their journey to serve the Fatherland and the People./.
