In his opening remarks at the seminar, Professor, Dr. Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of the Academy, stated that 75 years ago, in September 1949, the Nguyen Ai Quoc Central Party School had the honor of welcoming President Ho Chi Minh to visit and attend the opening ceremony of the second long-term theoretical course.

The person who inscribed the following instruction in the school's golden book said: "Learn to work, to be a good person, to be a good cadre. Learn to serve the organization, to serve the class and the people, to serve the Fatherland and humanity. To achieve this goal, one must be thrifty, honest, upright, selfless, and impartial." President Ho Chi Minh's visit to the school became the traditional day of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy.
To commemorate the 75th anniversary of its founding, the Academy organized a seminar to clarify the process of its establishment, construction, and development, as well as its great achievements and contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation; to express gratitude for the contributions of generations of leaders, cadres, Party members, civil servants, and workers throughout the years; to summarize valuable traditions and experiences; and to propose directions for the Academy's construction and development until 2030, with a vision to 2045.
From 2014 to the present, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics has been a system comprising functional units, specialized research institutes, regional political academies 1, 2, 3, and 4, and the Academy of Journalism and Communication. During this period, the Academy has undergone comprehensive, synchronized, and systematic reforms, achieving many breakthroughs.
In the field of scientific research, the Academy is increasingly asserting its position as a national center for political theory research and policy consulting for the Party and the State. In just 10 years, from 2014 to the present, the Academy has completed 279 national-level programs and projects; 203 key ministerial-level projects, programs, and research topics; 542 ministerial-level selected research topics; 51 investigation and survey projects; and 1,835 grassroots-level research topics (both decentralized and non-decentralized). The research results have directly contributed to the innovation and improvement of the quality of training and development of cadres, and the protection and development of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought; providing scientific arguments for the formulation of major policies and guidelines of the Party and the State.
