Fair of typical Vietnamese export goods 2024

Representatives of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) visited and learned about agricultural export products of Long An province at the fair.

The fair is organized by the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, taking place from May 8 to 11.

The 2024 Vietnam Export Fair has been expanded to nearly double its size compared to last year, with 450 booths; international communication and promotion work has been stepped up, increasing the fair's presence among domestic and foreign buyers.

The fair is expected to attract about 20,000 visitors and buyers; of which, more than 80% of professional visitors are importers, traders, supermarket systems, retail chains in major markets (USA, Europe, Southeast Asia, China, Japan, Korea...); representative offices for purchasing and finding suppliers in Vietnam; supermarket systems, imports and retail; e-commerce platforms.

To support businesses and export industries of the city in particular and Vietnam in general to seize opportunities of the recovering market, the fair continues to focus on key export groups such as food, beverages; agricultural and aquatic products; wooden products and handicrafts; textiles, footwear, handbags; rubber, plastic; electronics, mechanics; and other service and support industries.

Through exhibitions, fairs and exhibitions, businesses are provided with opportunities to learn, improve and innovate technology, enhance long-term competitiveness, and at the same time encourage Vietnamese businesses to participate in the global production, supply and distribution chain of goods and build close strategic cooperative relationships between Vietnamese manufacturing and exporting businesses and foreign distribution systems.

In addition, manufacturing enterprises can also take advantage of the opportunity to approach and learn about the needs and trends of the world market; from which they can build appropriate development policies. Therefore, this fair promises to be a bridge and driving force to promote regional linkages, economic development in the Southeast and Southwest regions; at the same time, it is a strong lever for export industries to make a breakthrough in orders and revenue.

The organizers also pioneered the application of technology and digitization of the fair to bring new experiences to both exhibitors and visitors. Accordingly, the entire fair space will be digitized using 3D scanning technology; maintaining the exhibition online 365 days a year on the Hopefair platform (https://hopefairs.com), creating opportunities for 24/7 customer interaction, without limiting the distance between buyers and sellers.

At the fair, businesses will meet, connect and trade 1:1 with leaders and purchasing departments of multinational supermarket chains such as Central Retail, MM Mega Market...; e-commerce platforms Amazon, Alibaba... This is an opportunity for businesses to expand their business, bringing quality Vietnamese products to many consumers around the world through modern supermarket chains.

In particular, in the afternoon of the same day, the forum "Promoting linkages towards green exports" will take place with the theme "Enhancing Vietnam's export position to meet green-clean-digital trends".

The forum will focus on discussing green-clean-digital transformation topics; proposing solutions to promote linkages in the three fields of industry-agriculture-trade and services, ensuring the principles of sustainable construction and development to maximize services, towards green exports, contributing to gradually transforming the economic structure according to the circular economic model.

The forum is also an opportunity for businesses to meet with authorities and propose solutions to overcome difficulties to support industries in increasing export turnover and value.

In addition, on May 10 and 11, the fair will be open to visitors for free. Consumers can visit and shop for Vietnamese export products with discounts up to 50%, attractive flat-price programs and freely experience products with many creative activities for each brand.
