Over 320 million VND awarded scholarships to students in border areas

On the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2025 - 2026, on the morning of September 5, the Ca Mau Border Guard Command, along with the Border Guard stations and Fleets, attended the opening ceremony at many schools in the border area and organized the awarding of scholarships within the framework of the program "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of Border Guard stations".

Colonel Pham Minh Giang, Provincial Party Committee member, Party Secretary - Political Commissar of Ca Mau Border Guard and Comrade Do Hoang Gioi, Chairman of U Minh Commune People's Committee presented scholarships to students at Nguyen Trung Truc Secondary School (U Minh Commune).

At the schools, the leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command and the commanders of the affiliated units awarded 55 scholarships (worth 4.5 million VND each) to 55 sponsored students. At the same time, the Ca Mau Border Guard also awarded 8 gifts, 8 bicycles and more than 11,500 notebooks to students in difficult circumstances in the border area, with a total value of nearly 320 million VND.

Colonel Ha Van Thanh, Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee - Commander and Lieutenant Colonel Dang Viet Hung, Political Commissar of the Ca Mau Provincial Border Guard presented scholarships and bicycles to students at Le Quy Don Primary School (Khanh An Commune).

The gifts and scholarships not only provide material support but also timely spiritual encouragement, helping students confidently enter the new school year. Through this, the Ca Mau Border Guard hopes to give them more strength to overcome difficulties, be good and studious, and strive to become useful citizens for society.

Colonel Nguyen Quang Ha, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, presented scholarships to students at Hiep Thanh High School (Hiep Thanh Ward).

This activity also demonstrates the close bond between border guards and people in border areas, contributing to raising people's knowledge, building a solid "people's heart position", and consolidating the increasingly strong national border defense.
