Over 320 million VND awarded scholarships to students in border areas

On the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2025 - 2026, on the morning of September 5, the Ca Mau Border Guard Command together with the Border Guard stations and Fleets attended the opening ceremony at many schools in the border area and organized the awarding of scholarships within the framework of the program "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of Border Guard stations".

• Finalize the Decree on tuition fee exemption and reduction; and provide lunch support for students in border areas.
• Donating bicycles to help poor students get to school.
• A circle of love supports orphaned students in Dat Mui commune.

Colonel Pham Minh Giang, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Ca Mau Border Guard Command, and Mr. Do Hoang Gioi, Chairman of the People's Committee of U Minh commune, presented scholarships to students at Nguyen Trung Truc Secondary School (U Minh commune).

At the schools, leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command and commanders of subordinate units awarded 55 scholarships (worth 4.5 million VND each) to 55 sponsored students. At the same time, the Ca Mau Border Guard also presented 8 gifts, 8 bicycles, and over 11,500 notebooks to disadvantaged students in the border area, with a total value of nearly 320 million VND.

Colonel Ha Van Thanh, Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee - Commander, and Lieutenant Colonel Dang Viet Hung, Head of Political Affairs of the Ca Mau Provincial Border Guard, presented scholarships and bicycles to students at Le Quy Don Primary School (Khanh An commune).

These gifts and scholarships not only provide material support but also offer timely moral encouragement, helping students confidently enter the new school year. Through this, the Ca Mau Border Guard Command hopes to further empower the students to overcome difficulties, be diligent, excel in their studies, and strive to become useful citizens for society.

Colonel Nguyen Quang Ha, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command, presented scholarships to students at Hiep Thanh High School (Hiep Thanh Ward).

This activity also demonstrates the close bond between border guards and the people in border areas, contributing to raising public awareness, building a strong "people's support" base, and consolidating the all-people border defense system.
