Ho Chi Minh City Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship has the function of gathering and connecting resources in the innovation and startup ecosystem of Ho Chi Minh City, domestically and internationally.
At the same time, it is the focal point for domestic and international cooperation on innovation and startups with domestic and international technology organizations and corporations; promotes public sector innovation; organizes and implements activities to promote and support the innovation ecosystem and innovative startups.
Along with that, it is a place to provide services to support innovation and innovative startups; scientific research and technology development, technology application and technology transfer and other functions on innovative startups in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, said that since 2016, the City has had a program to support the development of the Ho Chi Minh City innovation and startup ecosystem.
“At that time, we were not yet on the world map. Today, Ho Chi Minh City ranks 111/1,000 cities with the most dynamic creative startup ecosystem index globally,” said Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, adding that Ho Chi Minh City hopes that the city’s creative startup ecosystem index will increase on the rankings, creating new momentum for the socio -economic development of Ho Chi Minh City, as well as for the whole country.
Therefore, the current model of Ho Chi Minh City aims to form an innovative startup city. This is a new model to create new momentum for development.
From this idea, Ho Chi Minh City Center for Creative Entrepreneurship is the starting point for the innovation ecosystem.
According to Ms. Phan Thi Quy Truc, Deputy Head of Technology Management and Technology Market Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, the vision of the Creative Startup Center is the core of the innovative startup ecosystem, aiming to become the leading innovative startup center in the region, contributing to the development of the innovative startup ecosystem in Vietnam and the region.

The main activities of the Center for Creative Entrepreneurship are to organize capacity building training courses for the innovative startup ecosystem; organize networking events for innovative startup activities.
At the same time, provide services on training, coaching, consulting, incubation, acceleration, investment connection; organize incubation and acceleration activities for creative and innovative startup projects in priority areas and the public sector.
