In his opening remarks at the festival, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Hong Linh, emphasized: With its soil and climate characteristics, Ha Tinh's agricultural sector has produced many distinctive products in recent years, with oranges being one of the 15 key crops harvested from October to February of the following year.

Currently, the total area of orange orchards in the province is over 7,200 hectares, of which over 6,100 hectares are bearing fruit with a yield of approximately 110 quintals/hectare. The total production in 2023 reached nearly 68,000 tons/year.
Over the past period, the province has implemented a comprehensive set of policies and mechanisms, focusing on applying production processes according to VietGAP and organic standards to expand the area and increase the productivity and quality of crops. To date, 130 orange production facilities have been granted VietGAP certification for an area of 762 hectares; the area of crops certified as meeting organic standards is 70.8 hectares.
Recognizing digital transformation as one of the crucial steps to increase value in agricultural production, the province has directed the development of a traceability system for Ha Tinh oranges at https://camhatinh.gov.vn to ensure transparency of information for consumers.
Thanks to the implementation of the OCOP program and the industrial promotion program, many products in the province have continuously improved in quality and design, meeting the increasingly high demands of consumers. Currently, the province has 239 OCOP products with 3 stars or higher; 166 typical rural industrial products at the provincial level, 38 typical rural industrial products at the regional level, and 13 typical rural industrial products at the national level.

The 6th Ha Tinh Orange and Agricultural Products Festival aims to introduce, promote, and honor the renowned brand and delicious quality of Ha Tinh oranges and other specialty products of the province to people inside and outside the province. This is also an opportunity for businesses, cooperatives, and individual traders to understand consumer preferences; thereby developing appropriate production and business strategies to meet the increasingly high demands of the market.
The festival features 100 booths from 13 localities and 7 participating units showcasing and introducing OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, and specialties of the province. The festival takes place from November 24-26 in Tran Phu Park area, Ha Tinh City.
Provincial leaders and heads of departments congratulated the establishments that received certificates for outstanding rural industrial products at the provincial level in 2023.
At the event, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates and honored 40 outstanding rural industrial products at the provincial level in 2023 from 35 enterprises, cooperatives, and business households.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, delegates visited and shopped for products on display at the festival.
