Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Linh emphasized: With the characteristics of soil and climate, in recent times, Ha Tinh's agricultural sector has produced many typical products, of which oranges are one of the 15 main crops harvested from October to February of the following year.

Currently, the total orange area in the province is over 7,200 hectares, of which the fruiting area is over 6,100 hectares with a yield of about 11 tons/ha. The total output in 2023 is nearly 68,000 tons/year.
In recent times, the province has implemented synchronous policies and mechanisms, focusing on applying production processes according to VietGap and organic standards to expand the area, increase productivity and quality of crops. To date, 130 orange production facilities have been granted VietGAP certification for an area of 762 hectares; the area of crops certified to meet organic standards is 70.8 hectares.
Identifying digital transformation as one of the important steps to increase value in agricultural production, the province has directed the construction of a traceability system for Ha Tinh orange trees at https://camhatinh.gov.vn to provide transparent information to consumers.
Implementing the OCOP program and the industrial promotion program, up to now, many products of the province have continuously improved their quality and designs, meeting the increasing demands of consumers. The whole province currently has 239 OCOP products with 3 stars or higher; 166 typical rural industrial products at the provincial level, 38 typical rural industrial products at the regional level and 13 typical rural industrial products at the national level.

The 6th Ha Tinh Orange and Agricultural Products Festival aims to introduce, promote and honor the famous brand and quality of Ha Tinh oranges and the province's specialties to people inside and outside the province. This is also an opportunity for businesses, cooperatives and business households to grasp and understand consumer tastes; thereby having appropriate production and business strategies to meet the increasing demand of the market.
The festival has 100 booths from 13 localities and 7 participating units displaying and introducing OCOP products, typical rural industrial products and specialties of the province. The festival takes place from November 24 to 26 at Tran Phu Park, Ha Tinh City.
Provincial leaders and departments congratulated the establishments receiving certificates of typical rural industrial products at the provincial level in 2023.
At the program, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates and honored 40 typical provincial-level rural industrial products in 2023 of 35 enterprises, cooperatives, and production and business households.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, delegates visited and purchased products displayed at the festival.
