Khanh Hoa goes to China to promote provincial tourism

The program was attended by more than 120 travel agencies from Sichuan Province and more than 150 travel agencies from Shanghai City. These are two very important tourist markets and had the largest number of tourists to Khanh Hoa before the Covid-19 pandemic.

KHANH HOA DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM

According to Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, the program aims to introduce and promote the image, new and unique tourism products and tourism development policies of the province to Chinese tourism associations and businesses.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, said that through the program, she hopes that Chinese travel businesses will understand more about Khanh Hoa, have more information about destinations, products and services, connect and cooperate with tourism businesses of Khanh Hoa province to build attractive tourism programs, tours and routes to bring Chinese tourists to the locality and vice versa.  

"This is the premise for us to overcome all difficulties and challenges caused by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, towards the strong and sustainable development of tourism businesses in Khanh Hoa and other provinces and cities of China," Ms. Thanh emphasized.

At the program, Khanh Hoa tourism industry introduced new, unique products and stimulus programs for the Chinese tourist market.

Within the framework of the activities of the Khanh Hoa tourism delegation in Sichuan province and Shanghai city, the delegation also visited, met and worked with a number of tourism associations and large tourism businesses and corporations of these two localities.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, China was Vietnam’s largest tourism market. In 2019, Vietnam welcomed 5.8 million Chinese visitors, accounting for one-third of the total number of international tourists. Of these, more than 2.5 million Chinese visitors came to Khanh Hoa.
