Inauguration of bridges and roads for people from livelihood support project

On the morning of September 10, the Lao Cai Provincial Red Cross in coordination with the People's Committee of Phuc Khanh Commune organized a ceremony to accept and hand over the bridge and road project in Gia Thuong village.

This is one of the community projects under the "Restoring and Enhancing Agricultural Livelihoods and Housing in Lao Cai Province After Typhoon Yagi" project, funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

During the ceremony, an assessment and inspection of the project's quality was conducted, confirming it met the necessary conditions. Based on this, the Provincial Red Cross Society handed over the project to the People's Committee of Phuc Khanh commune for management and use.

With a total value of over 740 million VND, the bridge and rural road project, spanning over 1 km, has served the transportation and production needs of nearly 40 households in the village. The project has also supported the exchange of over 310 laborers for the villagers.
