Korean director prosecuted for smuggling

The Economic Police Department of Thua Thien Hue Province Police has just issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case that occurred at Takson Hue LLC, prosecuting 3 defendants for smuggling.

Along with the arrest warrant, Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police also arrested Kang Myung Gyu (born in 1966, Korean nationality, residing in Phu Bai ward, Huong Thuy town), the legal representative and Director of Takson Hue LLC.

The police agency issued a ban on leaving the place of residence for the remaining two suspects, Vu Thi Nguyet (born in 1988, residing in Duong Loc village, Loc Bon commune, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien - Hue province), an interpreter of Kang Myung Gyu, and Nguyen Ngoc Hiep (born in 1983, residing at 29 Nguyen Huy Tuong, Phu Bai ward, Huong Thuy town), an employee of Takson Hue LLC.

The investigation agency determined that Takson Hue Company opened a customs declaration to import goods which were raw fabric materials and accessories, import type code E21 (importing raw materials and supplies for processing for foreign countries) for processing, production, then re-exporting finished products to foreign countries.

However, Kang Myung Gyu discussed with two subordinates, Vu Thi Nguyet and Nguyen Ngoc Hiep, to sell nearly 18,000 clothing products (finished products made from imported raw materials from foreign countries) in the domestic market of Vietnam without declaring to Customs.

The investigation agency is temporarily detaining all of the above clothing products and continuing to investigate and clarify for handling.
