Launched in July 2025, the "Proud of My Homeland" program takes place against the backdrop of the country celebrating many important historical milestones: the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, and the 95th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The series of activities attracted the participation of tens of thousands of people, overseas Vietnamese, and organizations and units nationwide, from the "Reporting Achievements at the Frontline of the Fatherland" journey to the creative writing campaign.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Truong Thanh Trung, Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , Secretary of the Party Committee, and Editor-in-Chief of Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, emphasized: “‘Proud of My Homeland’ is a journey with profound significance in spreading patriotism, gratitude, and a sense of responsibility of each citizen towards their homeland. From sacred landmarks on the border and islands of the Fatherland to thousands of entries submitted to the competition, the program has contributed to connecting the enduring values of the nation, arousing faith, solidarity, and the will for development in the new era.”
The "Proud of My Homeland" program is also a vivid testament to the efforts of Dai Doan Ket Newspaper in fulfilling its mission: creating a shared spiritual space, fostering social trust, and inspiring a sense of civic responsibility. Throughout 83 years of development, from its predecessors, Cuu Quoc Newspaper and Giai Phong Newspaper, to Dai Doan Ket Newspaper today, the newspaper has always been the voice of national unity; a bridge between the Party's will and the people's aspirations, contributing to unifying will, coordinating actions, and spreading humanitarian values for the development of the country.
According to the organizers, the program is a journey connecting the hearts of Vietnam, spreading love for the homeland, and inspiring the desire to contribute in every citizen. The writing contest "Continuing the Story of Pride" is a vivid testament to the widespread influence of patriotism in the new era, with thousands of submitted works not only expressing sincere feelings for the country but also reflecting the belief, responsibility, and aspiration to contribute of Vietnamese people today.

At the event, the organizing committee announced and presented the awards for the "Continuing the Story of Pride" writing contest in 2025, including 22 individual awards, along with group and digital media awards.
In the group category, Dien Hong Nursing Home was honored as the group that submitted entries the fastest with 580 works. The Border Guard Command was awarded the title of the group that submitted the most entries with 1,000 works.
In the Digital Media category, the Team Award went to class 1D, Chu Van An A Primary School (Tay Ho district, Hanoi) with the product "Continuing the Story of Pride". The Individual Award went to author Do Thi Thanh Phuong with the work "How I Spend the 100,000 VND Donated by the Government".
In the individual writing competition category, the Organizing Committee awarded 15 Inspirational Prizes; three Third Prizes; two Second Prizes; the First Prize was awarded to Nguyen Thi Ngoc Kim Oanh, a student in class 10D1, Hoa Da High School (Lam Dong province); and the Special Prize was awarded to author Pham Thi Thi (Ca Mau).
As a young author honored with the award, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Kim Oanh, a student in class 10D1 at Hoa Da High School (Lam Dong province), shared: "The award is a gift of gratitude to my family, teachers, and hometown, and I also express my belief that young people can continue to write the proud story of the nation with their own belief and efforts."
