With absolute scores, the Z121 Vina Pyrotech fireworks team - Vietnam and the Jiangxi Yanfeng team - China were excellently selected to compete to find this year's champion.

The Vietnamese fireworks team made a particularly strong impression.

The decision was made based on the following scoring criteria for each team's entry: originality, design ideas, and performance theme; creativity, diversity, and richness of effects and color intensity.

The choice of music , the synchronization between the music and the performance; the ending and quality of the performance; the emotions and evaluation of the judges.

The performances by the Z121 Vina Pyrotech team from the Ministry of National Defence and the Jiangxi Yanfeng team from China were judged to be a clear breakthrough, harmoniously combining high technology and distinct cultural identity, while also reflecting the spirit of the DIFF 2025 theme: "Da Nang - A New Era".

Z121 Vina Pyrotech, also known as Chemical Company 21, a subsidiary of the General Department of Defense Industry - Ministry of Defense, is a veteran unit in the field of fireworks production and display in Vietnam.

With over 50 years of experience and a long track record of success in major national events, this year marks the team's first time competing in the international fireworks arena at DIFF with a modern and creative performance style.

Participating in this fireworks festival, Z121 Vina Pyrotech recreated the proud development journey of Da Nang from heroic memories to aspirations to reach out to the world .

The performance was highly appreciated for its pyrotechnics, innovative and unique pyrotechnic effects, engaging storytelling and profound, emotional musical arrangements.

Z121 Vina Pyrotech's opponent in the final is the Jiangxi Yanfeng team - representing China and also the reigning runner-up of DIFF 2024.

Returning this season with the desire to conquer the highest position, the Chinese team affirmed their strength in the third qualifying round with a creative performance called "Journey to the West Side Story".

Using fireworks that it researched and manufactured itself, Jiangxi Yanfeng made a strong impression with its distinctive multi-layered color-shifting effects, which were flexible, brilliant, and captivating, like a mythological film made with light.

The meticulous composition and precise control of the fireworks, synchronized to the rhythm of the music, made a strong impression on both the audience and the judges.

The two best candidates for the 2025 fireworks season.

The judging panel stated that DIFF 2025 is the largest ever, with 10 competing teams from Vietnam, Finland, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Poland, South Korea, Italy, Canada, and China.

Each team brings its own unique style, combining fireworks displays, music, and the distinctive cultural stories of their respective countries.

The dominance of many new teams, coupled with the consistent quality of seasoned teams from previous DIFF competitions, has made selecting the finalists a very difficult task.

"The two finalists not only possess outstanding technical skills, but also demonstrate an impressive depth of emotion and storytelling ability through light," said Ms. Nadia Shakira Wong, CEO of Global 2000, the world's leading fireworks consultancy.
