The United Nations appreciates Cuba's efforts

United Nations General Assembly President Dennis Francis appreciated Cuba's efforts in re-establishing the global order for a more just world .

Speaking at the University of Havana during his visit to Cuba from June 27 to 29, Mr. Francis affirmed that since the success of the Cuban Revolution on January 1, 1959, the country has always firmly defended multilateralism, peace , respect for sovereignty and sovereign equality among all nations.

This is Mr. Francis' first visit to Cuba as President of the United Nations General Assembly.

The visit is part of the agenda of the United Nations General Assembly and includes several meetings with senior Cuban leaders, including President Miguel Díaz-Canel and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.
