According to information from the Lao Cai Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, the temperature on the summit of Fansipan in the early morning was around 2 degrees Celsius. This temperature is low enough to form a thin layer of frost, covering all the paths, tourist attractions, and trees.
This is the first frost to appear on the summit of Fansipan in the winter of 2024. The frost appeared as a thin layer, evenly spread over the stone steps, wooden floors, trees, and pathways at the tourist site.

Forecasts indicate that temperatures in Sa Pa town and Fansipan peak will remain low in the coming days, and frost may continue to occur.
Earlier, on the afternoon of November 22nd, tourists visiting Fansipan also witnessed a fascinating natural phenomenon: a large halo enveloping the Buddha statue on the mountaintop. This impressive scene was captured by photographer Bao Long.

Sa Pa and Fansipan peak are entering their most beautiful season of the year – the cloud-hunting season with its ethereal sea of clouds.
During periods of intensified cold air, when temperatures drop, visitors can see transparent ice crystals covering the pathways and attractions in the early morning. And when the sun rises, the fluffy white sea of clouds makes the view from the summit of Fansipan seem like a heavenly paradise.

Towards the end of the year, Sa Pa is organizing its biggest tourism promotion program of the year, "Touch Sa Pa - Touch the Clouds." Many destinations, accommodations, and passenger transport services are offering discounts of up to 50%.
