On the morning of February 26th, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Union (LĐLĐ) held a meeting between the Provincial Labor Union and FDI enterprises in Thanh Hoa province to discuss the implementation of labor laws, policies, labor relations, and trade union activities within these enterprises.

As of February 20, 2025, 39 FDI enterprises employed 171,277 people. According to the assessment of the Provincial Labor Union, union members and workers celebrated the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025 safely and economically; after the holiday, 98% of workers returned to work.
In January and February, businesses maintained good employment for workers, with 33 out of 39 businesses having overtime in some departments, specifically: 17 out of 33 businesses had overtime of 0.5-1.5 hours/day; 15 out of 33 businesses had overtime of 2-3.5 hours/day; and 1 out of 33 businesses had overtime of 4 hours/day (2 days/week). In 2025, 23 businesses have a need to recruit 26,930 workers.

All 39/39 enterprises have made timely contributions to social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance to the social insurance agency and have fully paid monthly sickness and maternity benefits to their employees. The total number of employees in these 39 enterprises covered by social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance is 167,376, reaching a rate of 97.8%. The remaining 3,297 employees (2.2%) are not yet covered by social insurance because they are new employees.
Nguyen Dang Khoa, Deputy Head of the Legal Policy and Labor Relations Department of the Provincial Labor Union, presented a summary report on the implementation of policies and laws in FDI enterprises with a large number of workers.
Over the past two months, trade union activities have been vibrant, focusing on effectively caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. All 39 grassroots trade unions organized the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" event in 2025, ensuring that no union member or worker was left without a Tet celebration; they also organized timely visits to those who were sick, bereaved, or celebrating joyous occasions; and coordinated with businesses to visit and present gifts to workers in particularly difficult circumstances.

The grassroots trade unions also organized and launched emulation movements for skilled and creative labor, aiming for high productivity and high quality, achieving accomplishments to celebrate major holidays of the homeland and the country; maintaining coordination in inspecting and supervising the canteen; changing dishes according to the menu, ensuring the health of workers. They also coordinated with businesses to arrange breaks for workers, and provided transportation for union members and workers to participate in the "Workers' Festival - Charity Fair" program in 2025 at Lam Son Square, Thanh Hoa City...
At the conference, delegates reflected on the labor relations situation, and presented opinions and recommendations from grassroots trade unions and employers regarding the advantages and disadvantages faced by FDI enterprises in production and business activities, the living conditions and employment situation, and the implementation of policies and regulations for workers.
