These days, the atmosphere at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Nam Nha Trang Ward, Khanh Hoa ) is bustling because in just a few days, Doan Thanh Tung will represent Khanh Hoa to compete in the final round of the Road to Olympia 2025.
Be strong to reach the top of Olympia
On the afternoon of October 21, before leaving for Hanoi to attend the final match of the Road to Olympia 2025, Tung said he was ready for this decisive "mountain climbing" stage.
Tung said that his journey, starting from watching Olympia at noon as a child, to competing and reaching the finals, was a miracle.
But Tung himself does not feel pressured. He said that he is currently in a very comfortable state of mind. Besides preparing some more knowledge, he feels very relaxed and not worried much.
"I don't want to put pressure on myself. I believe the best preparation is to keep a clear mind and a happy mood to compete well, hoping to bring the laurel wreath back to Khanh Hoa" - Tung shared.
Evaluating the three remaining climbers in the final, Tung said that they were all excellent contestants, with a broad knowledge base and high fighting spirit.
Tung was particularly impressed with contestant Nguyen Nhat Lam (Cai Be High School, Dong Thap province) because this contestant has a very unique playing style and high determination, and will be a strong opponent in the upcoming final match.
Sharing about the competition strategy in the final match, the male student from Khanh Hoa said he will try to "fight fast, win fast" and score points on his forte questions.
Tung also said that in previous competitions, he had never chosen a 30-point question package or chosen a hopeful star in the finishing round. So he also hoped that he would not make those choices in the final round, because at that time, in a situation of competing for points, it would easily create pressure and make it difficult to stay calm.
Motivation is the cheers from home

Regarding the motivation for the upcoming final match, Thanh Tung shared that the encouragement from family, teachers and friends gave him confidence and a strong spirit when taking the exam.
For Tung, the most regrettable thing is that because Khanh Hoa is far from Hanoi, there will be few fans at the studio. Tung hopes to hear many cheers from the television bridge in his hometown to give him more faith and confidence.
Talking about his plans after the contest, Tung said he will prioritize choosing careers related to medicine.
Encouraging Thanh Tung, Nguyen Tran Khoi Nguyen - Olympia contestant in 2023 of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted - said that Tung's reaching the final round of the competition was a great success and a source of pride for the school and his hometown.
"No matter what the result is, Tung has shown his best. I hope you will stay calm, confident and have a suitable strategy to aim for the glorious laurel wreath," Nguyen encouraged.
Ms. Dang Ngoc Le Thy - Principal of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted - expressed: "The journey of studying and training with full courage, showing high concentration, accurate judgment, and quick reflexes are important factors contributing to Tung's success in studying as well as conquering knowledge in the Road to Olympia contest. We have high expectations for him in this final match."
The final match of the Road to Olympia 2025 will take place at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 26, with four live television broadcast locations in Hue, Dong Thap, Khanh Hoa, Hanoi and will be broadcast live on VTV3.
The four finalists of Road to Olympia 2025 are Doan Thanh Tung (Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Khanh Hoa), Le Quang Duy Khoa (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted - Hue City), Nguyen Nhat Lam (Cai Be High School, Dong Thap) and Tran Bui Bao Khanh (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Hanoi).
