On August 21st, according to information from Tuoi Tre Online , the Land Registration Office (Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Can Tho City) sent a letter responding to the Can Tho Tax Department regarding information and measures to prevent asset dissipation and enforce asset seizure to recover 600 billion VND in tax debt from Ngan Thuan Construction Co., Ltd.

Ngan Thuan Construction Co., Ltd. is the investor of the Ngan Thuan Binh Thuy residential real estate project, located in Binh Thuy ward, Binh Thuy district, Can Tho city. The project has a total investment of 8,000 billion VND and its detailed 1/500 scale planning was approved in 2005. This is an urban area where land plots are sold.

According to the Land Registration Office, on August 7-8, the unit sent a document to the Binh Thuy District branch of the Land Registration Office and other units under the Land Registration Office requesting them not to sign confirmations of mortgaged assets for bank loans and other payments.

At the same time, transfers of assets in any form are not permitted, even for the purpose of concealing or disposing of them.

In mid-2019, KITA Invest acquired this project from Saigon Thuong Tin Bank ( Sacombank ) through an auction of liquidated assets. The starting price was set at 3,424 billion VND, and the project was later renamed Stella Mega City.

The founding shareholder of Ngan Thuan Construction Co., Ltd. is Mr. Nguyen Duy Kien. He is also the chairman of the board of directors of KITA Invest.

Regarding the tax debt of Ngan Thuan Construction Co., Ltd., on May 30th, the Can Tho Tax Department sent a notice to the Immigration Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) requesting a temporary travel ban for Mr. Tran Van Bang - director of Ngan Thuan Construction Co., Ltd.

The travel ban period begins on May 30th and continues until the taxpayer fulfills their obligations.
