The Department of Tourism Management is tasked with drafting directives and coordinating with local authorities to promptly and effectively implement measures to respond to Typhoon No. 3. This includes directing tourism accommodation establishments and tourist destinations, especially those in coastal areas, islands, and areas at risk of landslides and flash floods, to take action. Coordination is also required to organize public awareness campaigns and evacuate tourists to safe locations. Furthermore, it is necessary to count, inform, and guide boats and vessels operating at sea to avoid entering or leaving dangerous areas and to seek safe shelter. Specific storm and flood response plans should be developed, along with evacuation and shelter measures to ensure the safety of tourists, especially international tourists. Based on the actual situation and the potential impact of the typhoon and floods, proactive advice should be given to competent authorities to temporarily suspend tourism activities.
The Department of Culture and Family Management and the Department of Cultural Heritage Management are tasked with strengthening inspections, reviews, and implementing plans to ensure the safety of people and property at cultural and sports facilities, historical and cultural relics, scenic spots, and tourist areas and destinations in the locality. Based on the actual situation and the potential impact of storms and floods, they should proactively advise competent authorities to direct the temporary suspension of recreational activities.
The units are required to maintain a strict 24/7 duty roster, promptly inform and report to the Director of the Department on the situation regarding the response to the storm and any damage occurring within their area of management during and after the storm (if any).
