Fifteen days after the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee approved the results of the auction for Thuy Ta restaurant, Mr. Doan Hai Ha (residing in Hanoi, the winning bidder) has not yet paid the land and property lease fees (over 151 billion VND/10 years, payable in one lump sum).
The Lam Dong Provincial Asset Auction Service Center stated that it has recently received information that Mr. Doan Hai Ha did not invest in the Thuy Ta restaurant land plot. Regarding whether or not to hold further auctions, the center is awaiting instructions from the Provincial People's Committee.
According to our investigation, the reason the winning bidder withdrew is believed to be that Mr. Hai had previously submitted a request to change the name of the Thuy Ta restaurant, but the local authorities did not agree.

Previously, Dan Tri newspaper reported that on October 30th, Mr. Doan Hai Ha (residing in Hanoi ) won the auction to lease the Thuy Ta restaurant area for 15.15 billion VND per year.
The starting bid for this restaurant area was 3.04 billion VND per year. The additional amount raised through 63 bidding increments was over 12 billion VND per year.
On November 8th, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province issued a decision approving the results of the auction for the lease of assets on land and the annual land lease payment for Thuy Ta restaurant in Da Lat city.
According to regulations, the winning bidder must pay a lump sum for the 10-year lease term, totaling 151.5 billion VND. Therefore, the daily rental price for this land is approximately 41.6 million VND per day.
On real estate-related online groups, most people agree that this rental price is very high compared to prices in Da Lat in particular and the whole country in general.
