On April 19th and 20th (corresponding to the 11th and 12th days of the 3rd lunar month of the Year of the Dragon), the Mai An Tiêm Festival 2024 will take place at the Mai An Tiêm Temple Relic Site in Nga Phu commune (Nga Son district).

The Mai An Tiêm Festival is scheduled to open at 8:00 AM on April 19th (corresponding to the 11th day of the 3rd lunar month of the Year of the Dragon) with traditional rituals and a welcoming artistic program.
Within the framework of the festival, many special activities will be organized, such as: the procession of the royal decree of Saint Mai An Tiem from Van Duc cultural village to Mai An Tiem temple and several cultural, artistic, and sports competitions, such as: watermelon carving competition, tug-of-war, chess, volleyball and a cultural performance.
A new feature of this year's Mai An Tiêm Festival is that the Nga Sơn District People's Committee has set up five booths to display OCOP products and other strong local products.

The Mai An Tiêm Festival features many unique and traditional activities.
The Mai An Tiêm Festival is held annually to affirm and honor the great contributions and the courageous, diligent spirit in labor and production of Saint Mai An Tiêm. At the same time, it aims to revive the beautiful traditional culture and rich national identity of Nga Sơn homeland.
Through the activities of the festival, the aim is to educate the people about patriotic traditions, love for their homeland, and national pride, thereby enhancing the spirit of unity, striving, and building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland and country.

This is also an opportunity to promote tourism development activities, attract tourists, and contribute to introducing and promoting the beauty of Nga Son's land and people to friends and visitors; raising awareness and responsibility of the community towards the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values and socio-economic development in the district.
