The Vietnam - Japan Festival is a comprehensive cultural and diplomatic event with Japan held annually in Da Nang City, and has become an important bridge, contributing to strengthening the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan in general, as well as between Da Nang City and Japanese localities and partners in particular.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, said that this year, the festival took place at a very special time - just a few days after the new Da Nang City was officially established on the basis of merging the old Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province on July 1, 2025.
This event not only marks the beginning of a new development phase for the city, but also creates more opportunities for cooperation and exchange between the new Da Nang City and partners and localities of Japan - a country with a long-standing and friendly relationship with Vietnam.
With the aim of promoting cultural exchange and promoting the image of the two countries, the festival features many unique activities such as: traditional and contemporary art performances, diverse accompanying programs, cultural exhibition space, tourism, cuisine, and typical products of the two countries.
Within the framework of the festival, there is also an exhibition of cooperation achievements between Da Nang and Japanese partners; 100 booths introducing cultural characteristics, products and services of the two countries; an exhibition of children's paintings from Japanese cities with cooperative relations; a Vietnam - Japan art exchange program taking place every night;...
At the same time, the festival is also a highlight in the promotion of investment, trade, education, employment, tourism, etc. through seminars, conferences and networking activities between organizations, businesses and partners of both sides.
