Comrade Ngo Minh Kim, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Consumer Protection Association, said: One of the important activities to raise consumer awareness and protect consumer rights is to strengthen propaganda work. Therefore, the Association has regularly coordinated with Ninh Binh Newspaper, Ninh Binh Radio and Television Station, and the Department of Industry and Trade to publish and broadcast many articles on newspapers, radio stations, and websites to propagate and disseminate the provisions of the Law and documents guiding the Law to help consumers raise awareness of their rights and responsibilities to protect themselves, while raising awareness of law compliance of organizations and individuals trading in goods and services in the province, propagating and guiding organizations and individuals to strictly implement the law on consumer rights protection, especially the responsibility for providing honest information on goods and services; accurate measurement; responsibility for ensuring food safety and hygiene, etc.
Activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day this year will be focused on organizing in March and lasting throughout 2024 with the theme "Transparent information - Safe consumption". Propaganda contents such as: Safety for consumers in online transactions; Protecting the rights and interests of consumers in e-commerce; Consumers have the right to be provided with complete and accurate information when making transactions; Respecting the rights and health of consumers; Becoming a smart consumer to protect your own rights; Building a transparent, fair and safe online business environment for consumers; Promoting consumption of Vietnamese goods, promoting production development; Promoting sustainable production and consumption; Not producing and consuming products harmful to health and the environment; Protecting consumer rights is a common responsibility of the whole society; Fighting smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, protecting consumer rights.

Mr. Ngo Minh Kim, Vice President of the Provincial Consumer Protection Association, also said: In 2023, the Provincial Consumer Protection Association organized the dissemination of legal regulations on consumer protection to 180 delegates who are officials and members of the Ninh Binh City Women's Union and representatives of food production and trading establishments in Ninh Binh City. At the same time, the organization propagated and disseminated to consumers basic rights such as the right to choose a healthy and sustainable consumption environment; the right to request organizations or support negotiations to resolve arising disputes, etc.
In addition, the Association also introduces new fraud tricks and some specific situations in transactions and sales that affect consumer rights; some knowledge, skills, and ways to distinguish fake, counterfeit, and poor quality goods; prohibited multi-level sales behaviors for prevention and vigilance.
Along with that, S in Industry and Trade has coordinated and encouraged businesses to organize trade promotion activities, customer appreciation and public events to increase consumer benefits and promote business efficiency of businesses, while supporting product warranty, consulting on safe and economical use of consumer products and other appreciation activities.
