Hon Chuoi Island currently has 39 households with 120 inhabitants, along with three military forces stationed there: the Navy, the Border Guard, and the Lighthouse corps. The people of Hon Chuoi Island mainly live by cage fish farming. Their lives are still difficult due to the lack of national electricity, schools, and medical facilities, and frequent shortages of fresh water, which significantly affect their lives and the education of the students.
