NTO - Comrade Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, inspected the preparations for receiving the UNESCO certificate and the Grape Festival.

On June 14th, Comrade Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, visited and inspected the activities at the 2023 Southern Central Region Trade Fair - Ninh Thuan ; and the production, business, and exhibition facilities showcasing unique ceramic products of the Cham people, such as: Artist Nguyen Che Kim Trung (Phan Rang-Thap Cham City); Bau Truc Ceramic Exhibition House; and Bau Truc Ceramic Cooperative (Phuoc Dan town, Ninh Phuoc).

Accompanying them were leaders from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Department of Industry and Trade.

During his visits and inspections, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the positive contributions of production and business establishments in preparing and displaying the province's unique products, the distinctive pottery products of the Cham people, and providing the best services for tourists to experience. This contributed to promoting the core values and beautiful culture of the people and homeland of Ninh Thuan at the series of events including the ceremony to receive the UNESCO certificate recognizing "Cham pottery making art on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding" and the Ninh Thuan Grape and Wine Festival in 2023.

Comrade Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, visited and presented gifts to the family of artist Nguyen Che Kim Trung (Phan Rang-Thap Cham City).

Looking ahead, the comrade suggested that Cham pottery production facilities continue to promote creativity, crafting many unique works to spread the beautiful traditional cultural values of the Cham people through each product; actively participate in displaying, introducing, and promoting unique Cham pottery products at the 2023 Southern Central Region Trade Fair - Ninh Thuan to make them known to tourists, creating connections, trade, and expanding the market for the products. At the same time, he requested that localities, departments, and agencies strengthen coordination to ensure security, order, and traffic safety; inspect food safety, and clean up the environment to create a green, clean, and beautiful environment during the UNESCO recognition ceremony for Cham pottery art and the 2023 Ninh Thuan Grape and Wine Festival.

Furthermore, it is necessary to strengthen communication through mass media, websites, and by displaying vivid and engaging promotional billboards at Bau Truc pottery village so that tourists can learn about the cultural and historical value, production process, brand, and art of pottery making of the Cham people, which has been inscribed by UNESCO on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguard.
