Responding to Reuters news agency via email, a spokesman for Nvidia affirmed that the company always complies with US government regulations to participate in global markets.

The spokesperson added that Nvidia has not exported H20 chips to China for many months and expressed hope that export control regulations will help the US compete in China as well as around the world . AMD has not commented on this issue.

Last week, the US Commerce Department began issuing licenses for Nvidia to export H20 chips to China.

The move helps the leading company in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) chips overcome a major barrier to accessing this important market.
