Car burst into flames on a central street in Ho Chi Minh City

(Dan Tri) - While traveling on Nguyen Binh Khiem Street, Da Kao Ward, District 1 (HCMC), a car suddenly caught fire.


On the evening of January 4, District 1 authorities were investigating the cause of a car fire on the street in Da Kao ward.

At around 8:30 p.m. the same day, the driver was driving on Nguyen Binh Khiem Street, from Dien Bien Phu Roundabout to Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street. When approaching the intersection of Nguyen Dinh Chieu - Nguyen Binh Khiem, the vehicle suddenly caught fire.

The driver quickly opened the car door and left the vehicle. Some people nearby used mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire but were unsuccessful. The fire quickly spread and engulfed the entire vehicle.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of District 1 Police mobilized many officers, soldiers and fire trucks to the scene to put out the fire.

According to witnesses, the burned car was an electric car. At the scene, police blocked off a section of Nguyen Binh Khiem Street to assist in firefighting. The fire was extinguished shortly afterwards. The fire did not cause any casualties, but the car was completely destroyed by the flames.
